Ideas

My friend Carolyn works for T-Moblie and moved to Maine in August for a new job with them!

Here are my ideas for gift giving!:
1. Find out if the person collects anything and get that!

Could also be a funky version of what the person likes!
2. Burts Bees ~ Anything lotion, lipbalm
3. Maine things...Especially for those back home here in New Mexico! eg: Socklady socks, moose dirt, blueberry jam. I usually try to get both Carolyn and Melanie New Mexico things! Because I know that they will love it and remind them of home!
4. Homemade items: potholders, (make them little and they are costers!),
scarves, spice tea!
5. A shopping bag of things to make a dinner: 2-3 soups in a box, gourmet
crackers, & cheese. Ingredients to make one of your favorite dishes and include the recipe!
6. When all else fails I go with gift cards. Books, dining out, Walmart, craft store!

Idea for your co-workers is next year to do Secret Santa's. Those who want to participate write out a quick questionnaire (kinda like Secret Sisters but could be shorter!) When we did this at work in SoCal we drew names the week of Thanksgiving and usually you got a small or homemade gift each week and then at our Christmas Party we reaviled our who we had picked and gave them a bigger gift. We also made up a "Wish List" of things we would like and that took the guess work out of things when we went to go buy gifts!

So I hope this helps! Have a good wintery day! (it's going to be 57 today in NM!)

Christmas 2

My friend Carolyn made this scarf for me! Her scarf is fuzzy and warm. However I was having a very bad hair day! The scarf was in my Christmas Box that she sent from Waterville Maine! Along with some other funny stuff!

Thanks Carolyn for the beautiful scarf!

Christmas!

I had a special Christmas this year! Not only did we have a wonderful time in Cortez Colorado with family and a great hall of presents! However no SNOW! It was hot for Colorado and that time of year! The Friday we left Rio Rancho to go to Cortez it was almost 70 degrees! I felt like I was back in Southern California! Oh Well! The best thing that happened was that I got to be on the Praise Team for my cousin's church. All of their Praise Team members were on vacation so I asked my cousin Robyn if she needed help! She did and I got to sing with her! I have always grown up with her branch of the family singing and it was an honor to sing with her!
